OA Collaborative story

The Oxford Academy

There was a knock at my door. When I opened it I found a package wrapped in old newspaper and tied with twine...


I soon brought it inside and opened it up. Inside was an old tattered book, some tissues and a bar of soap. At the bottom of the package there was a smaller wrapped box and inside it was a rare painting by Mark Rothko “who brought this to me?” I said to myself.


I unwrapped the painting, and was about to hang it on the wall, when I heard a window break upstairs. I wanted to go investigate what was going on, but I needed a weapon to protect myself in case there was an intruder. I looked around for something to use, and I saw the bar of soap on the table. I grabbed the soap and slowly made my way up the stairs…..


When I got to the top of the stairs I saw a dark figure at the other end of a hallway. I said “hello, who’s there?” The dark figure immediately darted into the room next to me and I could hear drawers being sifted through...
