Students at Oxford took a field trip to the Quinebaug Valley State Fish Hatchery in Plainfield last week. This hatchery is a large-scale version of our own Trout in the Classroom project that we’re doing on campus — raising trout from eggs for their eventual release into the wild.
They got a tour of the facility and learned about each step of the process; and they even got to hold some monster trout.
